The RH Suction Platens are mini suction tables for use when the suction table has to be brought to the object, such as a book, clothing or canvas painting on a stretcher. It is used for cleaning, holding and pressing paper and textiles, pulp filling of paper, structural treatments of canvas paintings and textiles or where an even suction is required on a small flat surface.

RH Book Suction Platen

Due to the unique design, the platen may be used in the bindings of books or other tight corners. In cross section, it forms a wedge with a minimum thickness of 2 mm increasing across its width to 28mm. The RH Book Suction Platen is a mini suction tables for use when the suction table has to be brought to the object, such as a book. It is used for cleaning, holding and pressing paper and textiles, pulp filling of paper, where an even suction is required on a small flat surface.

The RH Suction Platens are made for connection to the RH Suction Unit. This gives infinite control over the vacuum, is quiet in operation, and is recommended if significant quantities of volatile solvents are to be used. In some applications, an industrial vacuum cleaner or low pressure/high volume vacuum system may also be used.
The RH Suction Platen is supplied in a polished solid wooden case.
